1. Introduction
The Honeyguide Foundation (HGF) is seeking a consultant with extensive experience in EU project management to train its staff on best practices in project management. The consultant will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive training program to the Honeyguide and Community Wildlife Management Area Consortium (CWMAC) project management team.
2. Objectives
The objectives of the training program are to:
- Provide the project management team with a comprehensive understanding of EU project management processes, procedures, and methodologies.
- Capacitate the team on the compliance, regulations and restrictions of EU-funded projects, specifically with the financial management and reporting,
- Equip the team with the skills to effectively implement the project actions, from project planning and implementation to project monitoring and evaluation.
3. Scope of Work
The consultant will be expected to:
- Deliver an initial training needs assessment to determine the areas of EU project management that the project management team requires training on.
- Develop a tailored training program based on the training needs assessment and in consultation with the HGF and CWMAC project management team.
- Deliver training sessions to the project management team in person or remotely, using appropriate training methods and materials.
- Provide ongoing support and mentoring to the project management team, as required.
- Deliver a final evaluation report on the training program, highlighting the achievements and the areas where further improvement is required.
4. Deliverables
The consultant will deliver the following:
- A training needs assessment report.
- A tailored training program, including training materials.
- Training sessions to the project management team.
- Ongoing support and mentoring.
- A final evaluation reports.
5. Timeline
The training program is expected to start on 15/06/2023 and be completed by 15/17/2023. The specific training schedule will be agreed upon between the consultant, HGF and CWMAC.
6. Qualifications and Experience
The consultant should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in EU project management, with a proven track record of managing successful EU-funded projects.
- Experience in delivering training and capacity-building programs to project management teams.
- Knowledge of EU funding regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
7. Reporting
The consultant will report to the Honeyguide Foundation’s Executive Director, who will provide support and guidance throughout the training program.
8. Compensation
The consultant’s fees and expenses will be negotiated and agreed upon with the Honeyguide Foundation in advance of the training program.
9. Confidentiality
The consultant will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement, which prohibits the disclosure of any confidential information obtained during the training program.
10. Ownership of Intellectual Property
Any intellectual property developed during the training program will remain the property of the Honeyguide Foundation.
