Job Summary
Our Client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse and Inventory Manager with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with inventory systems is optional but preferred. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring optimal performance in the warehouse, managing procurement processes, and maintaining cost control measures.
Responsibilities:
  • Verify accurate and detailed information upon receiving and issuing goods.
  • Ensure correct quantities and quality of goods received and dispatched.
  • Process and review requisition documents, ensuring goods are delivered to the correct recipients.
  • Manage delivery documents, handle goods issue requests, and update the goods management system.
  • Arrange and maintain clean and efficient warehouse spaces for smooth operations.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise warehouse staff.
  • Ensure staff adheres to procedures, minimizing damage and errors during goods handling.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet operational needs.
  • Negotiate prices and contracts with vendors to ensure timely and quality deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of goods ordered and received.
  • Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, timeliness, and pricing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Travel to vendor locations when necessary to ensure product quality and negotiate contracts.
  • Track daily stock levels and maintain minimum inventory norms.
  • Ensure availability of goods to meet demand and avoid stockouts.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to propose adjustments to inventory levels based on business needs.
  • Provide daily cost analysis reports to the finance department and implement ongoing cost control measures.
  • Monitor and record stock counts, identifying and correcting discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely procurement and restocking to meet operational demands.
  • Manage stock to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Propose and implement solutions to enhance warehouse performance and efficiency.
  • Streamline goods handling and procurement processes to improve overall operations.
Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
