Solar Solutions Architect / Product Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Strategy & Sales Targets:
  • Define both short-term and long-term market strategies and targets in collaboration with the team.
  • Achieve sales targets for Solar & BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) through active marketing, solution promotion, and customer engagement. Conduct market competition analysis, mastering competitor information.
  • Understand customer needs, identify their stress points, and develop strategies and solutions to meet these needs.
  • Communicate the value of Huawei’s Smart PV Solution, plan the value of the project, manage technical exchanges, special brand activities, and guide customers towards accepting Huawei’s smart photovoltaic solutions.
  • Lead tender guidance and delivery forecasts, ensuring successful project completion.
  • Participate in expanding customer relationships, managing project operations, and business negotiations.
  • Achieve sales targets in the solar business.
  • Provide product support and resolve customer issues
  • Product Marketing & Sales Promotion:
  • Lead the marketing and sales efforts for Solar & BESS solutions, including inverters and BESS systems.
  • Engage with key customers in Tanzania, including EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), developers, and installers.
  • Technical Leadership:
  • Provide technical leadership in lead generation, opportunity discovery, and sales projects.
  • Design tailored solutions for customer needs, present these solutions to customers, and negotiate commercial offers.
  • Customer & R&D Collaboration:
  • Gather customer requirements and prioritize them for R&D to ensure product competitiveness.
  • Deliver technical training to partners to enhance their competence and capability to sell energy solutions.

Key Skills:

  • Strong command of Solar & BESS solution capabilities.
  • Understanding of sales and business expansion models in enterprise settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. In-depth knowledge of PV products, solutions, processes, and methods.
  • Mastery of basic principles and knowledge relevant to this product domain.
  • Familiarity with the energy industry, with a strong technical background.
  • Experience working with Solar-related consulting companies is advantageous.
  • Experience in top EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) companies is advantageous.
  • Strong business acumen and execution capabilities.

Professional Knowledge:

  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Deep knowledge of solar solutions and the BESS market in Tanzania.
  • Strong connections in the Solar & BESS industry, with awareness of trends and opportunities.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Solar & BESS or power solutions, with a preference for candidates with 3+ years of experience in the Tanzanian market.
