Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on oil injected, oil-free air, mobile compressors, Lighting plants & generators (in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations (with regards to schedule and scope)
- Perform diagnostics (mechanical and electrical) on malfunctioning Atlas Copco Equipment, determine possible causes for malfunctions, and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment.
- Prior to and following preventative maintenance and repairs test and document, the proper operating parameters of Atlas Copco Equipment
- To carry out the commissioning of new equipment.
- To have the ability to carry out installation work when required.
- To train customers in the general operations of their onsite compressed air equipment, Generators & Lighting plants.
- To identify spare parts for service orders, in the course of daily duties.
- Provide basic tools to accomplish job along with normal maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Provide a high level of customer service, responding to customer needs and working to satisfy customer expectations.
- Develop rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.
- Serve as an ambassador for the company, promoting Atlas Copco Products.
- Provide technical support to other departments and personnel as required.
- Promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times.
- Complete customer work order forms, service data reports, time cards, expense reports, and other job-related paperwork as required.
- Perform additional assignments as required.
Competences, skills and experience
- Full Technician Certificate or equivalent required with technical training in electrical, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics preferred.
- Knowledgeable of HVAC preferred.
- Able to work independently with strong self-management and professionalism.
- Able to complete work within assigned deadlines.
- Computer proficiency as required for communication, research, work orders and programming various controllers.
- Excellent customer service and communications skills (oral and written).
- Must be fluent in English and have a valid driver’s license.
- Employees will be subject to random drug testing.
- Must be able to lift up to 30kg on a regular basis and work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
