The role:

As Senior Application Technician you will be responsible for the following tasks:

 

1. Identifying customer requirements/needs and preparing proposals to meet the requirements.
2. Prepare quotations and follow up with customers to obtain orders.
3. Advice customers on correct tools for their application, drill rig and rock conditions.
4. Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on all field activities.
5. Market intelligence information including customers, fleet details and utilization, product performance statistics and competitor activity.
6. Use territory management information to propose sales agreements and stocking proposals to ensure availability of required consumables while avoiding wastage and over stocking.
7. Train customers in proper use, handling and service of RDT and educate them in best practices and technique.
8. Field products trails and comprehensive reports writing on performance for CC and PC uses.
9. Stand in for site RDT service personnel as required.
10.  Assist the RDT Product Manager to implement market action plans.
11.  Assist the RDT BDM to prepare business plans and forecasts.
12. Provide technical support and after sales service to RDT customers including troubleshooting, failure analysis, warranty claims handling and propose solutions.
13. Assist key customers in managing usage of consumables including:

  • Assist customers in implementing Monitoring and Control procedures.
  • Assist customers with the correct care and management of Rock Drilling Tools.
  • Assist customers in establishing discard procedures and discard reporting.
  • Conduct failure analysis to identify and defects and repetitive damage or failure.
  • Investigate damages, failures and losses.

14.  Assist customers in establishing site stock levels and replenishment routines.
15.  Any other duties that RDT BDM may assign to you.

 

Knowledge / Educational requirements:

– Diploma/certificate in electromechanical, electrical or mechanical or other related course
– Fluent English in both writing and speaking
– Good in Microsoft Applications
