Job Description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

Responsible for and manages all aspects of the companies active and aggressive sales initiatives. Maximizes the overall revenue of the property by directing the revenue generating activities in accordance with the sales business plan. The job incumbent should be active, proactive, analysing and achieve results in every respect. All work will be in line with the company’s guidelines and business plan, and Mantis / Accor corporate guidelines and service concepts. Deliverables consisting of key accounts sales plan, portfolio management, stakeholder engagement, customer relationship management.

TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieves budgeted goals by executing sales activities within assigned markets and market segments.
  • Implements strategies to improve market penetration.
  • Analysis sales statistics to formulate profitability.
  • Conducts market analysis to determine client needs, occupancy potential, desired rates etc.
  • Assists in the development of annual sales goals.
  • Assists in the completion of weekly / monthly sales calendar / market trend and feedback reports.
  • Ensures own function operates within cost restraints.
  • Maintains effective correspondence between clients, General Manager, Mantis / Accor Regional and Head Office within portfolio.
  • Meets budgeted sales and profit margins of the property, by soliciting, selling, and confirming business in timely manner.
  • Develops data and recommends property inclusions into itineraries / programs to meet clients’ needs.
  • Uses outside sales calls to solicit existing and new business through all segments, on a local and international basis.
  • Coordinate’s activities including familiarization trips, educational trips, site inspections related to potential and current booked business.
  • Communicates client requests to hotel General Manager in an effective and timely manner.
  • Ensures maximum occupancy on a daily basis by performing follow-ups on progress of enquiries received.
  • Uses outside sales calls to solicit existing and new clients based on all segments. Consisting of leisure DMC’s, Corporate, MICE and local domestic agents.
  • Increases sales volume and profitability by assisting in developing and executing projects for assigned market areas as stated in the sales plan.
  • Attends relevant trade shows identified and, or sales missions/ blitzes / networking events in key target market cities to develop new business and to contact established clients in these cities.
  • Account development responsibility.
  • Assists with marketing related responsibilities and execution thereof as and when requested by the General Manager.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Attends meetings and training required by the property or Mantis Head Office.
  • Ensures client satisfaction by attending to their requests and inquires courteously and efficiently.
  • Continuously seeks to endeavour and improve the department’s efficient operation, and knowledge of own job function.

LAWS, REGULATIONS AND POLICIES

  • Follows all applicable laws, and corporate standards and guidelines within Mantis / Accor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

∙University Degree in business administration, sales and marketing or a related field

∙5 years of working experience in the Banking, Hospitality or Tourism Industry in Sales &

Marketing department or Products department.

∙Excellent command of communication and interpersonal skills

∙Initiative, creative, persistent with a passion for sales & marketing

∙Strong creative outlook

∙Digital marketing knowledge

∙Excellent MS Office skills
