This REX Sales Engineer is an individual contributor position and it will reports to the Regional Product Manager, REX.


Main Responsibilities 

  • Interfaces with Sales team, Parts and Service and Capital equipment
  • Lead the efforts in growing the business of exploration products.
  • Provide technical support to customers and sales team.
  • Identify new sales opportunity and tracking of exploration major projects.

Sales and Customer relationship management

  • Searching for new customers who could benefit from Epiroc Exploration products and solutions.
  • Meeting regular sales targets.
  • Growing market share including customer share and consolidated profitability.
  • Traveling to visit new and existing customers.
  • Establishing and maintaining good relationship with new and existing customers
  • Persuading customers that our products and service will best satisfy their needs.
  • Collaborate with logistics to ensure delivery promises are met.
  • Supporting the customer excellence team to prepare quotations.
  • Collaborate with service and forecasting team to optimize our inventory and improve availability.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive customers visits report to the National Sales Manager

Territory Management

  • Collect and Maintain market data including customer mapping and contacts, planned drill meters, fleet details and utilization,
  • Monitor competitors’ sales and marketing activities.
  • Tracking of new and existing exploration projects.

Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Requirements

  • Ensures implementation and maintenance of the SHEQ Management systems in the department by maintaining and following the SHEQ policies applicable in the department.
  • You are to maintain the following levels of safe practice in your department;-
    • Fatal injuries – 0
    • Lost time injuries – 0
    • Property damage – 0
  • Conduct monthly SHEQ meetings
  • Ensures the SHEQ representative conducts daily SHEQ talks and monthly SHEQ inspections.
  • Ensures own safety and that of others
  • Ensures compliance to legal requirements.

Educational Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Mining / Mechanical, Geology or equivalent by experience.

  • Weekly customer visit plan and reports
  • Monthly Expectancy and key sales activity report
  • Quarterly Sales and Territory management review

  • Sales, Order Received and Revenue
  • Demand forecasting and planning
  • Customer satisfaction – Product support.
  • Territory management – market data collection and updates, projects tracking.
