Job description
WRS are looking for a Process/Field Engineer for a major pipeline project in East Africa. This is a contract position with residential status (8/2)
The job holder is expected to:
- Participate to the development of the Detailed Engineering, especially as related to Process Engineering and Flow Assurance deliverables.
- Make Process Engineering input to 60% and 90% 3D Model reviews.
- Make Process Engineering input to HAZOPs
- Support to deliver operational requirements for audits (in particular Project Review PR3).
- Contribute to the integration of Flow Assurance studies outcome to the Detailed Engineering design.
- Participate to the development of the laboratory design.
- Participate to the definition of Laboratory analysis methods and procedures
- Participate to the development of chemical injection schemes
- Participate to the development operational schemes for the use of Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) for the improvement of pipeline operational flowrates.
- Develop and maintain P&IDs and PFDs Register (Master copy)
- Develop and maintain the clients master copy of Shutdown Logic Diagram and Cause and Effect Matrix
- Be focal point for the development of ‘Site Modification Request’ scheme for the client
- Develop relevant Field Operations documents for the EIMS (documents management system).
- Participate to the development of Operational procedures for start-up readiness
- Interface with other entities such as Safety, Instruments, Electrical, Telecoms and commissioning to ensure the implementation of operational requirements.
- Support the development of Process and Flow Assurance digital tools for the client.
- Support and contribute towards operations readiness during construction.
- Support and contribute towards operations readiness during pre-commissioning.
- Support and contribute towards operations readiness during commissioning.
- Support and contribute towards operations readiness during handover.
- Support and contribute towards operations readiness during start-up.
- Support and contribute post start-up towards steady state routine operations.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Engineering degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering
- Master’s Degree is a plus.
- 1 year experience or internships in Oil & Gas or Energy industry
- Knowledge of Process Engineering software is a plus.
- English proficiency is mandatory.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
