WRS are looking for a Process/Field Engineer for a major pipeline project in East Africa.  This is a contract position with residential status (8/2)

The job holder is expected to:

  • Participate to the development of the Detailed Engineering, especially as related to Process Engineering and Flow Assurance deliverables.
  • Make Process Engineering input to 60% and 90% 3D Model reviews.
  • Make Process Engineering input to HAZOPs
  • Support to deliver operational requirements for audits (in particular Project Review PR3).
  • Contribute to the integration of Flow Assurance studies outcome to the Detailed Engineering design.
  • Participate to the development of the laboratory design.
  • Participate to the definition of Laboratory analysis methods and procedures
  • Participate to the development of chemical injection schemes
  • Participate to the development operational schemes for the use of Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) for the improvement of pipeline operational flowrates.
  • Develop and maintain P&IDs and PFDs Register (Master copy)
  • Develop and maintain the clients master copy of Shutdown Logic Diagram and Cause and Effect Matrix
  • Be focal point for the development of ‘Site Modification Request’ scheme for the client
  • Develop relevant Field Operations documents for the EIMS (documents management system).
  • Participate to the development of Operational procedures for start-up readiness
  • Interface with other entities such as Safety, Instruments, Electrical, Telecoms and commissioning to ensure the implementation of operational requirements.
  • Support the development of Process and Flow Assurance digital tools for the client.
  • Support and contribute towards operations readiness during construction.
  • Support and contribute towards operations readiness during pre-commissioning.
  • Support and contribute towards operations readiness during commissioning.
  • Support and contribute towards operations readiness during handover.
  • Support and contribute towards operations readiness during start-up.
  • Support and contribute post start-up towards steady state routine operations.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Engineering degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering
  • Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • 1 year experience or internships in Oil & Gas or Energy industry
  • Knowledge of Process Engineering software is a plus.
  • English proficiency is mandatory.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
