Role Purpose

The purpose of this position is to facilitate the integrations between Airtel and Partners for new and existing businesses. Bridging the technical gap between business and our partners to achieve faster and reliable integrations. Ensure the stability, integrity and availability of Airtel Money integration systems. Run day to day operations of mobile money platforms on service requests and incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Discuss business requirements with the business users and partners for proper planning and designing of the integration

  • Give solutions (API/Systems) walkthrough to new partners and guide onboarding process.
  • Request for proper APIs to be implemented to achieve best customer experience.
  • Gather required pre-requisites for the specific integration.
  • Bridge proper communication with partner and document escalation matrix.
  • Review business journey for the solution and advice for proper implementation as per APIs in place.
  • Ensure data passed by customers are well verified before a transaction.
  • Attend and lead integration meeting.

2.Handling Integrations and mobile money operations

  • Raise and own incidents end-to-end for integrated partners.
  • Follow up on RCA of incidents from all parties involved.
  • Working closely with Airtel Money Operation team on handling customer/partner issues.
  • Focus on timely delivery of AM Business integrations.
  • Report and track integrations all through till go-live.
  • Conduct timely data analysis for new integrations.
  • Ensure alerts are in place for new partners.
  • Ensure stability, reliability, integrity and availability of Airtel Integration system.
  • Following up on key KPIs and report issues immediately.
  • Support planned activities.
  • Conduct database maintenance activities (DB purging, Archiving, re-org).
  • Proactively plan activities to minimize potential system outages.
  • Provide technical assistance for auditors during Audit processes.
  • Lead and Support NOC Operations.
  • Run commission computations at month end.
  • Support audit data provisioning for the mobile money platform.
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor.

3.Support Projects;

  • Perform requirement gathering for new reports required to be implemented.
  • Work with Project Team to ensure CRs and UATs are performed on time.
  • Review work products (code and documents), plan & achieve phase containment as per the project norm.
  • Effective resource management (monitor & track project progress, foresee issues/ concerns)
  • Provide support for new products launch/campaign

4.Direct development and delivery of the marketing message across various channels/media of communication as per set targets.

  • Manage and support IT internal clients adequately to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Manage the Airtel partners adequately well to ensure timely service delivery to agreed quality and SLA.
  • Manage and support external partners and ensure they are well served on the needs around Airtel Money.
  • Discusses and solves problems with key stakeholders.
  • Interact with Airtel partners/vendors in case of any major issue & for upgrades to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications and Experience.

Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills

  • Holding a bachelor’s degree/ master’s degree in software engineering/ICT/Electronics/Computer Science
  • Experience with SQL/MySQL/Oracle/DB2/Postgres databases
  • API development and integrations (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
  • Experience with programming languages/scripting (Java, PHP, JS, etc)
  • Experience with Linux/Windows operating systems
  • Project management

Relevant Experience;

  • 5 years’ experience with role preferably within the IT/Telecoms industry.
  • Experience of Telecommunications Industry or FMCG IT environment
  • Able to operate in a performance driven organization
  • Affinity with and technical knowledge of the latest technologies and services used within the industry and affiliated industries
  • Excellent Data analysis and Excel skills
