Job Purpose

As the HR Manager, dnata Zanzibar you will oversee and lead HR and Administrative activities, provide professional HR advice to departments based on local legislation and best practice. As well as, support business initiatives which have significant people implications and ensure effective employee engagement through the implementation of HR best practices and compliance with policies, procedures and local legislation.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and oversee budgets for administration, recruitment, and staff wellbeing initiatives, aligning with organizational goals.
  • Create HR and admin plans in line with dnata’s policies and Corporate Governance manual, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Liaise with department heads to meet manpower needs effectively, streamlining recruitment processes for timely staffing solutions.
  • Ensure the procurement of required uniforms aligns with budgetary constraints while maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Partner with line managers to educate and advise on recruitment, induction, and performance management processes.
  • Lead performance management initiatives by setting objectives, providing coaching, and addressing performance issues proactively.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance employee engagement through feedback channels and culture surveys.
  • Plan Corporate Social Responsibility activities and staff wellbeing initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
  • Lead the development and implementation of HRMS systems, ensuring effective integration with payroll and other internal systems.
  • Ensure employment contracts and agreements comply with local laws, regulations, and dnata’s Corporate Governance manual.
Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or any related Human Resources field or Diploma holder in a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree Holder: 4+ years of experience in Human Resources and 2+ years in supervision/management.
  • Diploma Holder: 6+ years of experience in Human Resources and 3+ years in supervision/management
  • Advanced IT and Computer Literacy Skills.
