Procept is currently recruiting for a reputable company to fill the position of an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the architecture design and transformation efforts for Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operations Support Systems (OSS). In this role, candidate will be responsible for defining the strategic direction, roadmap, and target architecture for BSS and OSS, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological advancements. Candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to drive innovation, optimize operations, and enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of BSS and OSS within the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, architectural leadership, and strategic vision to drive successful BSS and OSS transformation initiatives within the organization.

Job Description

1. Strategic Planning:

• Define the strategic direction and long-term vision for BSS and OSS architecture in alignment with business goals and objectives.

• Develop and communicate an enterprise-wide architecture roadmap for BSS and OSS transformation initiatives.

2. Architecture Design:

• Lead the pre-assessment or target architectures for BSS and OSS, considering scalability, flexibility, and integration requirements.

• Ensure that architectural solutions adhere to industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

3. Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT leaders, and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into architectural designs.

• Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather input and feedback from stakeholders on BSS and OSS architecture.

4. Technology Evaluation and Selection:

• Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and platforms relevant to BSS and OSS, and make recommendations for adoption based on business needs and technical feasibility.

• Participate in vendor selection processes and provide technical guidance during procurement activities.

5. Integration and Interoperability:

• Define integration strategies and patterns for seamless communication and data exchange between BSS, OSS, and other enterprise systems.

• Ensure interoperability and compatibility between different components of the architecture.

6. Governance and Compliance:

• Establish governance frameworks and processes to ensure compliance with architectural standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Monitor and enforce adherence to architectural principles and guidelines across BSS and OSS initiatives.

7. Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and challenges associated with BSS and OSS transformation efforts and develop mitigation strategies to address them.

• Monitor architectural risks and issues and escalate as needed to ensure timely resolution.

8. Change Management:

• Develop and review the change management strategies and plans to facilitate the adoption of new BSS and OSS architectures within the organization.

• Provide guidance and support to teams during the transition to new architectural frameworks and solutions.

9. Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

• Define and review SoC , key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the performance and effectiveness of BSS and OSS architectures for business partners to support

• Monitor architectural performance and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

10. Documentation and Communication:

• Document architectural designs, decisions, and rationale in architectural artifacts and documentation.

• Communicate architectural concepts, solutions, and strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (10 years) as an Enterprise Architect, with a focus on BSS and OSS architecture and transformation initiatives in the telecommunications industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of BSS and OSS components, technologies, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience with architectural modeling tools, such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Certification in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF certification) is a plus.
