Job description
We are looking for Business Developer in Tanzania to contribute to making LESAFFRE known as a key player in technical solutions “BAKING SOLUTION”, yeasts and ingredients.
Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, you have the commercial and technical responsibilities of the Tanzanian market. Your main responsibilities are:
- Manage our distribution networks
- Market intelligence and strategy implementation
- Develop our business in Tanzania
Management of distributors
Being the Ambassador of the Lesaffre’s brands in Tanzania you will work with our partners to develop their shares in the market
- Guarantee high level presence in the market (sales & technical) with a strong network of customers (wholesalers, end-users) and coordinate the support missions of the Baking Center™ team
- Define with the distributors the action plans, assist on their implementation and ensure the follow-up of actions
- Work with the distributors to ensure correct level of stock in line with sales targets
- Support in the analysis of customers’ requirements, and ensure efficient feedback
Market intelligence
Your Sales experience will enable you to gather key information required to support our strategy. You will:
- Segment the market (customers, products)
- Study and analysis of the competitors’ offer
- And collect product samples from market and follow up benchmarking results with Baking Center™
- Follow-up and update the value-chains
- Identify and analyze the needs of the market
Business development
You will spend part of your time into the field, with a focos on increasing the Lesaffre’s solutions footprint in Tanzania to the benefit of the end-users. You will:
- Identify prospects and new sales leads within the current customers database
- Structure the offer to match the customers’ needs (wholesalers and end-users)
- Be able to provide basic baking support to craft bakeries
- Analyze the quantitative and qualitative impacts of marketing actions
- Participate in the forecast planning and include impact of the business opportunities
- Actively participate in the budget definition, and targets achievement
Qualifications
- 5 years’ sales experience in Tanzania
- Knowledge of the Baking Industry will be appreciated
- Previous experience in the food industry is compulsory
- Open minded and autonomous professional
- Good interpersonal relations, ability for building nice relationships with different partners (distributors, clients)
- Innovative with a strong desire to achieve
- Self-motivated, diplomatic, energetic, strong ability to convince
- Proficiency in MS Office
