BSS Pre-Assessment and Target Architecture Consultant

Procept is currently recruiting for a reputable company to fill the position of a BSS Pre-Assessment and Target Architecture Consultant. In this role, candidate will be responsible for conducting pre-assessment activities, analyzing current Business Support Systems (BSS), and developing target architecture solutions aligned with business objectives. Candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess existing systems, and design future-state architectures to optimize BSS operations and support business growth.

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, architectural acumen, and business understanding to drive successful BSS transformation initiatives.

1. Conduct pre-assessment activities to understand the current state of BSS systems, processes, and architecture.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, operational challenges, and future needs.
3. Assess the performance, scalability, and alignment of existing BSS systems with business objectives.
4. Perform gap analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimization within the BSS landscape.
5. Develop target architecture solutions and roadmaps for BSS transformation initiatives.
6. Design architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation to illustrate the future-state BSS architecture.
7. Define architectural principles, standards, and best practices to guide BSS transformation efforts.
8. Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into the target architecture.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and vendors, to ensure alignment and feasibility of architectural solutions.
10. Conduct reviews and assessments to monitor progress and ensure adherence to architectural guidelines and standards.
11. Support change management efforts by communicating architectural changes, benefits, and impacts to stakeholders.
12. Stay abreast of advancements in BSS technologies, standards, and regulations to inform architectural decisions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience (5 years) in BSS architecture, design, and transformation within the telecommunications industry.
• Strong knowledge of BSS components, including Billing, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Order Management, and Revenue Assurance.
• Experience with pre-assessment methodologies, gap analysis, and target architecture development.
• Proficiency in architectural modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Enterprise Architect) and diagramming tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio).
• Familiarity with industry frameworks and standards, such as TM Forum Frameworx (eTOM, SID).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., TM Forum certifications) are a plus.
