Job Description
As an accountant at Trading Partner Ltd., you’ll be responsible for account closing and financial report preparation, taxation, and internal control system follow-ups. Your role entails account coding & encoding, account receivable, payment authorization, tax filling, and audit coordination.
You’ll also gather, review, analyze, and present financial and non-financial information from various sources within and outside the company and make recommendations that will impact the company positively. You’ll report directly to the Managing Director of the Company.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Coordinating internal control activities across the business to ensure the Company’s revenue sustenance
- Ensuring the accuracy of financial documents, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Preparing tax returns and ensuring that taxes are paid properly and on time
- Evaluating financial operations to recommend best practices, identify issues and strategize solutions, and help organizations run efficiently
- Offering guidance on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization
- Conducting forecasting and risk analysis assessments
- Performing all other duties that will enhance profitability, productivity and going concern status of the company
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any related field.
- Possession of ACCA, CFA is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3Â years of experience, preferably in a financial reporting role in an Import/Export firm.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools
- Strong presentation skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and other presentation tools
- Advanced skills in other Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook, and MS Project.
