Job Title: Music Instructor
Job Type: Part-Time
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
We are seeking a talented and passionate music instructor to join our team and teach our students in Dar es Salaam. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in music education, as well as experience teaching music to students of various ages (4 – 18 y) and skill levels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans for piano, and singing classes
- Teach students of all ages and skill levels
- Provide guidance and support to students, helping them to achieve their musical goals
- Organize and direct student performances and recitals
- Collaborate with other music instructors to develop and implement new teaching methods and programs
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and guidance as needed
- Conducting music theory and practical examinations
- Suggesting additions and improvements in the curriculum
- Coordinating with staff members in organizing extracurricular activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in music or music education
- Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching music
- Fluency in English and the ability to effectively deliver music lessons in the language.
- Proficiency in piano, guitar, and vocal instruction
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and create a positive learning environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to adjust to changing circumstances and student needs
- Passion for music education and a commitment to student success
- Computer Literacy skills
